Lip blush

What is this?

Lip blush, also known as lip tinting, is a semi-permanent lip makeup technique that enhances the natural lip color, redefines the lip contour that naturally fades with age, and corrects asymmetries. This semi-permanent makeup technique involves introducing pigment into the upper layers of the skin's dermis using a dermograph. The results last up to four years, depending on individual pigment retention.

Please allow between 2 and 3 hours for the appointment. You will be lying on a massage table during the treatment. Some discomfort is to be expected during the procedure, but an anesthetic gel will be applied to the area to make it more tolerable.

Visible healing of the area takes between 4 and 5 days, and it takes between 4 and 6 weeks for the color to stabilize and reveal the final result. A touch-up will then be necessary.

It's possible to experience some swelling in your lips for the first 24 hours. The color will be much more intense for the first 48 hours, but this is normal. Scabs will form during the first week and will fall off on their own, revealing a much lighter pigmentation that will give the impression of no pigment at all. This is part of the process. It can take up to 6 weeks for the pigment to fully settle to the surface of the lips. A touch-up will then be scheduled to correct any areas where the color has faded and to intensify the lip blush.

Lip blush is perfect for all ages. It's ideal for those wanting to redefine their lip contour, those with low lip pigmentation, and those with asymmetrical lips.

Lipblush is not recommended for anyone using anticoagulants, diabetics, pregnant or breastfeeding women, those undergoing chemotherapy or hemophiliacs, as well as anyone with an active skin condition on the lips or undergoing Accutane treatment.

Advice after the service

It is possible to have swollen lips for the first 48 hours and this is normal.

The healing time is 4 to 5 days. Do not pick at the scabs during this time and let them fall off on their own.

Avoid applying anything to your lips while they heal if you want better pigment retention. If this becomes too uncomfortable, you can then apply the repairing balm offered by Lili Beauty Studio.

The chosen color will fade by approximately 40%, resulting in a more natural look 4 to 6 weeks later. A touch-up will then be scheduled.

If you have previously suffered from oral herpes, consult your doctor so that they can prescribe you a medication to prevent the occurrence of herpes following the procedure, such as Valtrex.
